FAQs

What activities do you offer?

We offer a wide range of sports and activities for all ages such as boxing, archery, fencing, football, tennis, gymnastics, athletics and more. 

We also have playschemes, youth clubs, cook and eat classes, leadership courses, sporting and development provisions including a home educators' hub.

Do you have anything suitable for adults?

Yes, we offer a variety of activities for adults such as boxing, fencing and archery. If there is anything we don't have please contact us and we may be able to facilitate it for you.  

Are parents allowed to stay in the sessions with their children?

We do not allow parents to stay in the children's sessions for safety reasons but if we have an additional member of staff on site we may be able to arrange for you to stay and observe for a short while.

What do I gain from being a member?

A membership will allow you first refusal on any one- off sessions we have at SSAT including any promotional offers. Members also receive a free Sunnah Sports t-shirt. 

What is your safeguarding procedure?

Our safeguarding policy is kept updated and in line with the local authority's guidelines, we also have an appointed safeguarding officer. All our coaches receive regular safeguarding training.  

I want to sign up for a session, how do I pay?

We prefer to take online payments via PayPal or bank transfers but you may also pay by cash. We do not currently accept card payments.

Is there any paperwork to complete?

All new participants will complete a short form. You may access this via the following link: https://forms.gle/a5GfDZAyyZyzeGsx7  

Your data is stored confidentially and may be updated annually or at your request. 

Are your staff appropriately qualified?

Yes! Our sport coaches and all other staff members are qualified to do what they do and have been vetted via the disclosure and barring service (DBS). If you would like to meet the staff in advance, please make an appointment at the office during work hours.

What will I need to bring and wear to a sports session?

We have changing rooms on site so you are more than welcome to bring your kit with you and change before your session starts. 


BOXING: Trainers, sports clothes, water bottle, hand wraps (also sold in sessions for £4.00), any medication you may need.


ARCHERY: Flat enclosed footwear, sports hijab ONLY if you wear a headscarf and wish to keep it on, no loose clothing that can become trapped in the archery bow, any medication you may need.


FENCING: Sports hijab ONLY if you wear a headscarf and wish to keep it on, trainers, sports clothing, water bottle, any medication you may need.


PLAYSCHEMES/ALL OTHER SESSIONS: Trainers, sports clothing, water bottle, any medication you may need.

May I keep my headscarf (hijab) on during activities?

The only head covering allowed in our sessions is a small sports hijab. These comply with our health and safety standards and reduce the risk of injury to participants.

Who may I speak to if I have a complaint?

Please email info@sunnahsportsacademytrust.com with your complaint. A member of the management team/a trustee will contact you to resolve your grievance.
